National News DISservice

Recent news coverage of the catastrophe along the Gulf Coast have provided a horrible and negative disservice to America and Americans. By showing over and over again one scene, namely the convention center with a group of people screaming
"help." Then following this by questioning anyone they can on their ability to perform magic. News whether we like it or not, spews out garbage daily. They look for the worst things that occur and that's what you see or hear. Did you ever notice you see almost nothing of the good news. How about the good things that are happening in Iraq. The average listener thinks nothing good is going on in Iraq. Yet there is. The news owes us the service of providing ALL the details of a subject not just the bad stuff that they think we want to see.

Katrina Homeless??

If you know someone that is homeless because of Katrina Craigs List New Orleans page has a long list of homes/rooms etc. available during their time of homelessness.
Don't give up on America friends. The news can travel light and get to a disaster scene much faster than thousands of soldiers from around the country and even faster than tons of needed food and other supplies. Those people on TV are in bad condition. If we could only reach into our TV screens and hand them something. But we can't, and hard as it is, we must wait for the large wheel to turn in getting them help.
